I did this painting as a tribute to the farm and my Grandma whose favorite color was red and always sang us grandkids two songs, “There’s a Lonely Little Robin” and “You Are My Sunshine.” While her voice was a little less than pitch perfect, she loved signing and music. I spent countless hours on my grandparent’s farm. It was a magical place for me as a child. I would roam its acres, visit the baby calves, and pick chamomile. When I was five, I received this barn for my birthday. As you can see by its worn exterior its was well loved and played with....
